Consult the list of application forms
IMPORTANT – Before starting your work
-
- Make sure to consult the Permits and Certificates By-Law, or contact us to find out which types of work require a permit or certificate, as well as the list of required documents for your specific request.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your project complies with municipal regulations. Consult the Urban Planning By-Laws for more information. For any questions, please contact the Urban Planning Department.
- When submitting your application form, ensure that all necessary documents are attached. You can print your form from the list below and complete it before coming to City Hall with all your documents, or you may send your application by email to c.rowlands@harrington.ca.
- Payment for the application is made at City Hall, by debit card or in cash. It is also possible to send a cheque by mail to City Hall, clearly indicating the purpose of the payment.
- Following your application, please allow up to 45 days for processing. Some applications may require additional time, including: PIIA (with additional fees), minor variance, conditional use, demolition, etc.
- Do not begin any work before receiving your permit. Starting work without a permit is a violation of regulations and may lead to significant consequences.
- Be sure to sign the documents attached to your permit and return them to City Hall. Without receipt of these documents, your permit may be cancelled.
- If any changes are made to your project after the permit has been issued, you must inform the municipality and obtain authorization before continuing the work.
- Please notify the municipality once the work is completed to allow your file to be updated.
