Project Overview
Work completed so far:
- April: Demolition and removal of the old rink boards, excavation of the rink area to remove approximately 24 inches of soil, followed by the installation of sand and gravel to prepare the base for the new surface.
- May: Asphalting of the new rink surface.
- August: Installation of the new rink boards, multisport surface and pickleball net.
Upcoming work:
- Trail maintenance (currently underway).
- Installation of the basketball hoop.
- Construction of a new skating chalet.
- Installation of a petanque and shuffleboard court.
- Landscaping and installation of new park modules.
We thank residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the project. This project aims to provide citizens with high-quality sports and recreational facilities to promote healthy lifestyles, build social and community ties, encourage physical activity among both young and older residents, and reduce isolation among seniors.
