REMINDER : Hunting

It is important to follow the current regulations and hunting seasons to ensure responsible and safe practices.

Did you know that:

  • It is prohibited to sell, buy, or exchange meat from Virginia deer (unless it comes from a hunting farm), moose, spruce grouse, rock ptarmigan, willow ptarmigan, gray partridge, Canada grouse, and sharp-tailed grouse.
  • It is prohibited to buy, sell, or trade migratory birds and their parts.
  • Hunters must wear a fluorescent orange vest with a minimum surface area of 2580 cm² (400 in²), visible at all times and from all angles, even if they are wearing a backpack.
  • A hunter cannot shoot with a crossbow, bow, or firearm at an animal from a public road, including within a 10-meter (33-foot) wide area on each side of the shoulder.
  • It is also prohibited to shoot across a public road, meaning from one side to the other.
  • It is forbidden to use a drone to spot or drive an animal.
