New By-law Regarding Dog Tags

On February 25, 2026, By-law 372-2025 regarding the control and ownership of dogs came into force. This by-law aims to ensure compliance with the provisions of the provincial regulation concerning the control and ownership of dogs. Certain obligations and powers arise from this by-law (including maintaining a registration register, license fees, and the declaration of potentially dangerous dogs), and the municipality wishes to regulate these matters in order to ensure public safety. This by-law introduces several new measures listed below.

Dog Tags

It is now mandatory to obtain an identification tag for your dog, at a one-time cost of $15, valid for the lifetime of the animal. To do so, please visit Town Hall to complete the registration form, make the payment, and receive your tag. You may also print and complete the form before coming to Town Hall.
