Call for Applications to the Planning Advisory Committee (CCU)

The Municipality of the Township of Harrington is seeking applications to fill a citizen seat on its Planning Advisory Committee (CCU). The municipality is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic resident who wishes to get involved in the development of their living environment.

The CCU is a working group made up of at least one member of the municipal council and residents selected by the council to guide, advise, and support its actions in matters of urban planning.

The CCU recommendations and opinions allow the municipal council to benefit from the contributions of elected officials and citizens, who can share their lived experience in the municipality as well as their specific concerns regarding land-use planning. Establishing a CCU therefore helps bring citizens closer to urban planning issues.

In some cases, elected officials and citizens may also provide specific expertise or represent the interests of certain socio-economic groups concerned with commercial development, environmental protection, heritage conservation, and more.
